Misunderstanding what it takes to be a swinger

A colorful friend of mine stopped by for a drink the other day.

    hummingbird visitor

After sating himself with the sweet stuff, my friend obliged me and accepted the open invitation to give swinging a try.

    hummingbird swing

Clearly the confused fella doesn't understand what it takes to be a swinger.

Or perhaps swinging simply isn't his thing — in contrast to this cutie who really got a kick out of it a few summers ago.

    Meh... To each his own.

I am always amazed by those tiny little creatures. Wish I had the abundance of them that I had in the mountains. Oh, well, maybe it's just too hot here in Pueblo.

What great pictures! You must enjoy just watching him. I would love to put up a hummingbird feeder but Shebee makes it impossible and I can't watch her all the time. Thanks for sharing yours.

Your pictures are beautiful! We have a feeder too and I was amazed to discover that all hummingbirds are not alike - our favorite has a green head. The bossy one has a red one!
Hmmm....wonder why this year's little guy can't figure out the swing like the other one did?
