Hardcore Grandma

I've mentioned a few times on this blog that I'm not a mushy-gushy kind of grandma, even though I love my little Bubby to my core and my heart melts at just the thought of him.

But one grandma I came across while researching other grandma blogs has got to be the least sentimental nana ever. She goes by Hardcore Grandma, and her grandson chronicles their adventures tackling video games on his blog, Old Grandma Hardcore. His tag line describes Grandma as "the video-game playing queen of her age-bracket and weight class."

Grandma Hardcore is an interesting contrast, to say the least, to the overly precious book-writing grandmas I wrote about yesterday. Check out this video of her taking on "Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway" on her Xbox 360. (Note: If you're offended by profanity, this probably isn't a video you'll enjoy.)

One thing's for sure: Her grandson loves her. And based on her popularity on MTV and the comments from the blog visitors, boys and young men across the country would love to have a grandma just like her. Proof, I guess, that it takes all kinds ... of grandmas.
